Featured Jewelry Artist
Joyce Miller has worked in art related fields throughout her life. She began as a graphic artist for an advertising firm and subsequently worked in interior design, created and directed an arts and crafts program for children, designed wedding cakes for over three decades and did a variety of free lance art work. Her hobby is water color painting.
Joyce became interested in jewelry making in 2001, and after becoming skilled in beading and wire wrapping, branched out to foldforming, metalsmithing and silver soldering. Her eclectic collection reflects a clean, uncluttered style from contemporary to ethnic.
Most of her pieces are one of a kind and may include gemstones, amber, coral, freshwater pearls, African Kazuri beads and old trade beads. Metals and findings include sterling, Thai fine silver, argentium, 14K gold filled and red brass.
Joyce and her husband, Bob, live in Columbus, Indiana where she teaches workshops in wire wrapping, metal work, beading and jewelry design.
